I got NOTHING done today...feeling extremely tired until midnight
Then I feel like it's 11 AM in the morning. I was so tired today, I did nothing except install MS office on my mac, open my packages(palm rest, and desk mat), cook food for my husband, watch some TV, a lot of Youtube about New Jeans and Blake Lively and Korean politics. Overwelmed and not really excited about the project, but I just want to get it done, and put it behind me. Once I write it there is a good chance of getting accepted since it has real user testing and everything, even if it doesn't, I can just change it and send it to other journals. Anyway, I just promised myself that this is what I am going to do this year~ year and a half. If I get a job in between, that's great. Even if I don't, that's fine. The plan is to keep working at it daily, instead everything all at once right before the deadline, which has been my go to strategy for the rest of my life.
I am excited to enroll in a new gym after this week.
Also, while trying to learn how to make a chatbot today on Codecademy, I also realized that it was all not necessary stuff for the kind of things I want to do. Maybe later if I am more interested. Since I have ChatGPT, I just want to start with the thing where I can get immediate results. So I am going to work on doing that a little bit. I don't know I need to spend some time getting inspired a little bit, go on walks again, but its too damn cold!!!
I think that is where I need to chase immediate results, while writing a paper takes time, editing it just little by little. I mean if I plan to do it in a day or two, then procrastinate for a week or so, then actually spend time doing it in 1 or 2 days, then end up taking another couple of weeks refining what I had done for the couple of days. Then if I just work on the least bit of it, like one subsection a day, then I would be done in like two weeks including the editing phase. So don't try to do too much in a week, just look at the project long t term, enjoy the project, don't rush it. In fact, don't even think about having results in the first half of the year.
